What's love Gotta do with it?

We should be very thankful that love is not a person, because it would be beat up, dragged threw the mud and probably thrown in a casket for burial. Love has been abused and taken for granted so much so that many people are questioning its existence. We need to first know the creator of love to get a better understanding of how to operate in love.

God is the mastermind behind love. As a matter of fact, He is love. God first loved us and He demonstrated that by sending his only son to die on the cross for our sins. (according to 1 John 4:9). Death is a very important factor in understanding love. We must die to our fleshly desire and rid ourselves of selfishness. The Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthian 13:4-5 that: Love is a patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it does not keep records of wrongs. By this definition of love we see that love is much more than a secondary emotion, it is an action. We show love not by what we say but merely by what we do.

It is funny how many of us hoard any and everything that someone does to us in our hearts. We have a mental tally sheet, three strikes policy or even build a defense mechanism around ourselves. God does not run his kingdom that way. He is not tallying up all our wrongs to throw it in our faces later, nor does He put conditions on His love for us. His love endures forever!

There are so many intricate parts of love that the Greeks have three different definitions. Eros is a passionate love, Philia is a friendship/family love and Agape is the type of love that is an unconditional and self-sacrificial. 1 Peter 1:22 says that once we purify ourselves we are called to love each other deeply from the heart.

This is only attainable if and only if we stay connected to our Lord. Jesus says apart from me you can do nothing. Just remember that this is not something that will occur immediately. Our daily connection with God determines our elevation in our love walk. The way we treat people, how we feel about ourselves and how we behave all goes back to our connection with God.

Life experiences may it be positive or a negative can either piece our hearts together into a figure which is whole or corrode it with anger and bitterness. There are instances where past hurt can hinder us from being vulnerable, just remember love can not blossom out of fear. The choice is yours! Free will is a blessing; we have the ability to choose our state of mind and how we feel. The relationships that we are in are not supposed to hinder our growth. They are supposed to teach us something, elevate us to the next level and fill our hearts with love and compassion.

Love, who needs it? Well studies have shown that babies who were not held or given any type of affection died. Though they were being feed nutrients for their physical bodies, that was not adequate for their over all development. We can presume that love is a not only a necessity but it has everything to do with our overall spiritual, physical and emotional advancement. If we let God’s love shine through the crevasses of our hearts what’s the worst that could happen?

Love, Your DadAlmighty God

Valued by God

Lately when I read the word of God I am truly on a High. The Holy Spirit leads me to scriptures or study notes that indicate God's love and our value in Him (I'm blushing).

Psalms 119:73 Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands. 119:94 Save me for I am yours; I have sought out your Precepts.

Romans 12:3 Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

There is a serious issue today with Low-self esteem with people in the body of Christ. I am Learning that God wants so badly for us to move away from feelings of worthlessness, insecurities and inferiority. If we are all those negative things then How do we view God. I mean He created us in His image. So that means you look just like Him... If He is an Awesome God and you are His Child what does that make you.... Wait for it... An Awesome Child of God! with Awesome brothers and sisters. Pick your head up. U are Loved! God doesn't favorites... Once you Accept Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour... Your self-worth comes from our identity in Christ (study notes)! Your are Qualified (Colossians 1:12) and accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6) so let your light shine!

Only He knows how to love you...Love Him everyday with all that you have.

Lest we forget

Hosea 13:6 When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me.

I shall not forget you. How great you have been to me. Lovely you are in the Heavenlies. I thank you Father for giving me a chance to get to know you. Help me to enter into the depth of your mind, the inner parts of your heart. Help me to be more like you day by day. The more I am taught in the world I want to run back to the sustaining living word. They say the church has failed them... but it hasn't failed me. U gave your life up for the church and I truely appreciate you. I like that fact that I don;t have to live this life alone. I may mess up but you are right there lavishing your, loving kindness on me. Though I don't deserve it. You continue to be what No Man/Woman can ever be... GOD! Only you can feel the voids, the issues the pain and heal from the depths of my soul. I Thank you once more.

Lest we forget God bring us to the cross, lest we forget show us when we were lost. Lest we forget convict our hearts, lest we forget open our eyes, lest we forget Bring us back to the basics.

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. My Soul Kissed God Last Night

Rule number one. Don't kiss on the first date I was told. An unwritten code for young ladies to follow. I must say... There must be an exception to the rule. In this case rules were meant to be broken. I must Confess: My soul kissed God last night.... Yes! Him who is robed in majesty called for me.... A rendezvous so sweet. In my room alone where no one could see... as I read his Love letter dedicated to me. He whispers "Trust in me with all your heart." With my heart outstretched to Him. He lavished me with His love. Slowly drifting into a place of solace, gently entering into his presence, peacefully. Letting go of the sin that so easily entangles... detaching myself from the cares of this world. How Great is He who intricately wired me to respond to Him so beautifully.

Pursuit of peace

We rush from one destination to another frantic about keeping up with our schedules. In the process we are anxious, annoyed and irritated if we miss one of our “important” obligations. At the end of the day we are overworked, burned out and no good to anyone. Here is a word of advice… relax! We must have peace with God, peace with ourselves and peace with others. If you are lacking in any of these three categories you must evaluate your life.
Peace with God: Rom 5:1 8:37, Colossians 3:15, John 8:44, John 10:10
Jesus governs our lives. We do not obtain peace from success, money, and big promotions. We find peace in the kingdom of God by being right with God (righteousness), leaning our whole weight upon him (trust) and surrendering our will (what our flesh wants to do) we’ll find peace, and joy within us. In order to do this we must know our enemy is Satan and that he is the father of lies and a thief. He is on guard trying to steal our blessings but as Christians we must fight the good fight of faith by planting the word of God in our heart and acting upon it.

Peace with Yourself: Rom 8:6, Psalm 139
Remember you create your own schedule. Give yourself breathing room in between daily events approx. 30 minutes before and after an event. Rushing starts in our minds, once we slow down in our thoughts our actions will follow suit. Many of us walk around with this dark cloud over our heads. We feel as though we are not worthy and end up having a poverty mentality, which leads to a mediocre life. When we do not accept ourselves (flaws and all) we are insulting God. You are not a mistake! God does not make mistakes. You are fearfully and wonderfully made! God knit you together in your mother’s womb. Stop allowing Satan to feed lies to you. You must be whole, in your health, finances, thoughts and relationships. Allow God to work in areas in your life that need change.

Peace with Others: Matthew 7:12, Phil 2:3-5, 1 Corinthians 13
Finally we must esteem others as higher than ourselves. We must adapt ourselves to their needs. Pride hinders that act. It is an unwillingness to admit fault or to take responsibility for ones actions. Humble yourselves before people and be eager to assist them in an area they may be weak in. We must also learn to say no and choose which activities to be involved in, in doing that we create stability and healthy boundaries for the people in our lives. Aggressively pursuing peace is a daily process. We will maintain a quiet inner life when we have peace with God, ourselves and others.

Interesting.... yesterday I finally received what I ordered... a bunch of products from Joyce Meyer.... I was like whoa.... I got to read and listen to all this stuff. Man that's a lot of studying... What I can't understand is that am I so stressed out and other's are relaxed... Wait there is a difference between works of the flesh and Grace... Works of the flesh is when we try to be Holy spirit Jr. When we try 2 be Christians w/ out Christ. SO I decided today that I'm not reading or studying anything today I am resting in the beloved. I'm already accepted... He rocks and His grace is sufficient 4 me.... I am going to relax and stop moving so much!

Okay Okay Okay.... Now it's forgiveness time. I can't be mad 4ever. I noticed I am still upset. I get a text.... I donot want to talk to the person in Question but that's not hot. If I want God to forgive me I must 4give. The greatest Commandment is to Love the Lord thy God w/ all my Heart w/ all my mind w/ all my strength. If anything I'll do it 4 God and 4 myself. Living in unforgiveness is said to be like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies. or even being in a prison While the other person is enjoying life.

Also If I want God to hear my prayers I have to let go... I would be a hypocrite if I sit here and hold on to this incident.

Even when I was still in sin. Jesus died 4 me. I know my flesh is screaming No.... But like paul said I beat my body and make it my slave. God did say vengence is mine so I will let the CEO of the Universe Handle it. God Help me plz.

Sunday the 23rd I found my self horrible upset. Me and 9 other ppl were going to do a life changing skit @ the end of our revival which was titled "Heaven or Hell you Choose" and it ended up getting cancelled. We were devasted and what's crazy is that some ppl couldn't understand our frustration. It was like.... get over it! How do u just get over something so quickly. Anger is a normal emotion. Eph 4:26 In your anger Sin not...Do not go to bed angry. I doesn't look like I got much sleep that night.
It was funny because the more ppl were like it was okay Vicky... It's okay Just do it another time... it made me more upset. lol No seriously. I'm the type of person where if someone is venting I let them vent I may add my little two sense in, but that's about it. I may correct you when you're out of line but that's about it.
What I didn't like is that when someone does something wrong and they smile in your face... That urks my nerve and they want you to get over it that very second. You can apologize but make sure that you give the person room to breathe.....because they just might blow up. I know, I need space. I don't Like to be patronized. It's kool how God still rocks. I was upset, I told the person How I felt, yet I did not disrespect them nor did I get rude with him. I may have been a little loud but that was frustration.
I thank God because I know let that have been mayb 2 yrs ago , I would have not said anything and bottled up by true feelings. What I need to learn is how not to dwell on things to long... it's day 2 and I am better. I am happy that I am surrounded by ppl that I can talk to and that care about me. God's @ the top He understands me so well.
Also I haven't perfected how to be a politician... you know smile when your not happy... I am asking God how not to be a phony Chrisitian! Help me God....

Breaking free from Wilderness Mentality

Moses' Job was to lead the Israelites out of Slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land. On their journey to the Promised Land they were in the wilderness going around the same mountain for 40 years due to grumbling, complaining and faultfinding. Through the wilderness God led them with a cloud by day, fire by night. He sent fresh Manna (wafers made with honey) from the sky every day for them in the morning, water to drink and quail for them to eat in the evening. Instead of the Israelites seeing their Glass as half full, they saw their glass as half empty. They wanted to go back to slavery instead of press through to get to the Promised Land with a good attitude.

Even today many Christians have the same wilderness mentality. Just like the Israelites we were enslaved as well. Our Master was sin but now our new master is God.

Romans 6:20-23
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right. 21 And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom. 22 But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

When the difficulties of life happen, just like the Israelites we want to go back to the familiar life we used to live but God is calling us to come higher, to change our wilderness mentality to a kingdom of God mentality {Luke 17:20-21, Matthew 6:33, John 3:3, Mark 10:15}.

We have to shy away from thinking that will short circuit our destiny.

"I'm not good enough, I'm not worthy to serve God or go to heaven"
"It's not my fault, that's just how I am"
"I am a product of my environment"
"Everybody else's life is better than mine"
"God doesn't Love me"

Transform our mind with the word of God.

Ephesians 2:10……... "I am God’s work of art"
2 Corinthians 5:17….." I am a new creation in Christ Jesus"
Ephesians 4:13.......... "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"
Colossians 2:10…..… “We are made complete in Christ”
John 3:16................... "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish and have eternal life"
1 Corinthians 1:30…. “We are righteous and holy in Christ”

Let's stop complaining and keep moving! Your wilderness experience is not meant to hurt us but it is meant to shape your character, make you stronger and teach you how to trust God(Deuteronomy 8). Let’s Jehovah Jireh (Our provider), El Shaddai (Our Supplier) lead us through our journey into our Promised Land.

Just realized

Whoa This is crazy... Ha! I just realized that I spelled essence wrong in the essenseofbeauty.blogspot but hey It gives it character lol If someone can spell sensere like that and get away with it then dang I can do it to! It makes me feel good. It reminds me that I'm not w/o flaw I LOVE IT!! ( I'm mad I saw that 5 months later). I dare to be different and I dream in color---> what you got to say about that. Being politically correct is over rated. Thanks God 1 point 4 u. that's why ur God (INFINITE) in⋅fi⋅nite and I'm not (FINITE).

Definition on INFINITE

3.
subject to limitations or conditions, as of space, time, circumstances, or the laws of nature: man's finite existence on earth. !

I'm beginning to think I'm okay with that! You know why God is Elohim the creator of the Universe and once I accepted Jesus (king of all kings) I became His Child. Gal 3:26 "You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus) ... so that makes me princess and co-heirs w/ Christ. Where I am weak He is strong.

I was reading my study notes (in the life application study bible it's Hott get it) for John 1:3 Through Him all things were made; w/o Him nothing was made that has been made.

Notes: When God created God made something from nothing. Because we are created beings, we have no basis for pride. Remember that you only exisit because God made you, and you have special gifts only God gave them to you. With God you are something valuable and unique; apart from God you are nothing. If you try to live without Him, you will be abandoning the purpose in which you were created.

Do you ever feel that your life is too complex for God to understand? Remember, God created the entire universe, and nothing is too dificult for Him. God created you; He is alive today, and his love is bigger than problem you may face.

You Just Might be Great!!! Even Awesome... Why not find out?

I'm glad I went

I learned something new tonight... I'm excited I was being pulled in different direction and finally I ended up visiting this church with a youth revival theme called exteme Makeover Spiritual edition. When I say it was a blessing that the person giving the word was anoined boy... I could have stayed there all night... I didn't realize how late it was.

What I learned was this that the reason I feel like screaming and pulling my hair out is that God is doing some demolition duty in my heart (just like ty from exteme makeover home edition). God is doing that so He can dwell in me. He has to fix up the place 1st. Hey I don't blame Him I have some self defeating behavior that He is trying to get rid of and a whole lot of this that don't resemble Him at all. He is making me over.

God gave me His best---> Jesus! The least I could to is give Him my best. He longs to me gracious to me (and you). He doesn't want our scraps on Sunday morning, Mon-Sat we act like we don't know who He is. He is serious and what hit me more is that in a blink of an eye God could wipe me out, but He chose to keep me here. I won't die until I fulfill my purpose.

Have of the group of kids we went with got saved I am happy about that! Taste and see that the Lord is Good!!!

My psalm to you

You see me… no matter how insignificant I may feel. U feel me from the depths of my soul. U hear me when I am in the darkest of inner turmoil. From within you comfort me when my mind is breaking away from reality. U sustain me when mediocrity feels good and the fear of being the best keeps me smothered. I scream at the top of my lungs let me out I can’t breathe… I suffocate in my own attempts to control my destiny as I breathe my last breathe I look to the hills from which cometh my help and I hear a faint whisper that says let go… Let go… let go… as I die to the flesh I live in Him… Only to get back what was stolen from me… my life the original plan for me and I thank you for the detour because without it I would not have discovered the Great king that I am so fond of. I thank you once more.

Then I get to know your passionate nature it’s clear why you don’t want my attention else where… your so great. When I think of you I smile within. Discovering who I am day by day excites me, only because I am created in your image. When I look in the mirror I am beginning to like what I see because the essence of beauty comes from a soul that is intertwined with the king of all kings. I learned something profound the other day. “Love is never afraid of giving too much.” For a while I was afraid of loving you totally because I didn’t know how you would treat me. I mean relating You the Infinite to Man the finite and how they treated me… I had to say wait you loved me enough to die for me and I can’t even let go and submit to the lover of my soul… I long to be near you ever second of every day… all you want to do is perfect me.

You created me so you know the great potential I have. You know what? a part of me doesn’t want to reach my potential. It’s easy being comfortable and safe… the more I want to stay safe the more you call me out and you are such a gentleman that you don’t force me. I went to sleep and I heard you whisper… do not neglect the Lord thy God. In that I woke up like wow! U care if I don’t speak to you or don’t read my word… I know that’s kinda weird of me….. Sometimes I like the assurance that your looking down saying Vicky talk to me! AHHH U rock! I’m not David but here is my psalm to you!

Show me how to love agape style. Teach me how to manage myself…. Help me so I don’t carry my own burdens because you said cast my care upon you. I feel like my heart is crying out..it’s saying finally someone who understands me…I am complex and you get that. Sometimes I don’t Understand myself. Help me to break free and be an individual. I am Single, Saved and Satisfied lol. I need you to make me content in all situations. When I get overwhelmed with my daily tasks remind me to give my cares to you for you care for me. Help me to apply what I learn so that I can practice what I teach… Can’t have the blind leading the blind, we’ll bump into a wall or something… Oh yeah show me to break religious, legalistic views… you know lists of how it should be and it never works that way (Do not judge lest ye be judged). I know you love because you gave me another chance.

Your princess V.

Shaping of Character

While Glancing at Proverbs 31, my study notes said something profound. Notice that not once did the writer mention anything about how The proverbs 31 woman looked like. Her attraction factor came from the fact that she had noble Character. Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be prasied (Provebs 31:30). Character is who you are when no one is lookin. I notice as I get closer to God. He is forming me to be like Him it feels like an excorist experience but through it all I will trust Him. At a point I didn't like myself much because the more I read the word, the more I saw I couldn't measure up to the standards. What I failed to understand was a faint whisper that echoed in my heart: " Your flaws make you unique not unworthy!" When I feel like screaming about what I am not... I can look at who He is and know that my worth comes from God, My Father who gave His son for me and you. He doesn't just love us but is in love with us, intimately, passionately and even has the hairs on our head numbered. What an awesome God!!

To My Knight in Shining Armor,

My soul, my spirit and my mind Thanks you. My Infinite ruler, faithful provider and prince of peace. I lift my White flag in surrender. Though my heart may be unsettled, you remind me that your love endures forever. The essence of who I am is through your son. The cancer of doubt has left; the sin that so easily entangles me is at your feet. I am no longer a victim of circumstance, leaving my life up to chance, drifting into a slumber while my life passes me by.

You created me in your image… who am I to say I am not worthy, unqualified and imperfect. You know that I am mere dust, but you chose to breathe life into me, orchestrate my destiny and perfect me into your likeness.

You listen to my prayers and protect me with your arsenal of angels. You say I am precious and honored in your sight. Through your eyes I was created for you glory. My worth comes from what I am… a reflection of the Most High, Elohim my creator. For you I live… for you I die…I am dead…. I died a thousand deaths in one day. The night of the living dead Christ’s way dead to the flesh, dead to the world… I am dead to sin and alive in Him.

Him…My knight, my king, giver of all great things… U have crowned me princess and adorned me with diamonds. I lay my alabaster box before you recklessly, abandoning who I used to be. Out of the pits of self pity u accepted me…. All of me, flaws and everything… I am not a surprise to you, you… the Alpha, and Omega the 1st and the last, my all Knowing God. My glorious king I appreciate you. You’re the coolest God on the planet. Lover of my soul, my boo, I cherish you.

The essense of beauty comes from within by displaying your love for Christ on canvass...then displaying love for yourself....may it be in written form or artisticly. Allowing your soul to be healed from the inside out.
